I only found this site by accident, and it was the first knowledge I had that Sylvie had died. My siblings and I know her through Woodland View as our father (Bert) is also a resident there; he moved there not long after Sylvie, and were on the same corridor.
All of the relatives get to know all of the residents when they visit and everyone is on first name terms!
I was very sad to read the news; Sylvie was a lovely lady and I am sad that when things eventually get back to normal and we can visit again, she will not be there. My siblings and I send our condolences to all the family.

My mother Sylvia I think of as a beautiful flower, sweet and pretty, petite and modest, the wind bending her stalk being the hard times she’s endured. Somehow she kept bouncing back, her stalk unbroken. Each time her pretty face would look up at the sun, again. She would be strong.

We were so sorry to hear of the death of dear Sylvia. She was such a lovely lady. We have fond memories of Sylvia, and Frank, when we travelled abroad with the Orwell Singers and also lovely memories of all the concerts where Sylvia accompanied so very well. She was a talented pianist and much loved. Our sincere condolences to all the family.
